Ok, I don't know
any Danish. And in any case, this thing was never fully cut by the printer, so you can't read the book
properly without vandalising it. But this book was owned by John Wyndham. It's his own copy,
presented by the publisher, of the Danish translation of Day of the Triffids. Cool, no? How do
I know it's his? Well, who else would own an uncut copy of the Danish translation of Day of the
Triffids? Also, his name and address are neatly stamped on the inside. If it's a fake, the forger
got very lucky in finding this book before stamping it.
Very unusual, really- almost every author's copy of a translation is in the Wyndham Archive. Thanks, abebooks!
