Pairs presenting tours: If I am supposed to separate your grade LET ME KNOW BEFORE YOU START. Otherwise, you will be awarded a common grade. SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT "Demographic Field Work"
Interview yourself, family, friends about moves TO NYC, FROM NYC and WITHIN NYC. If you are not an immigrant/alien to USA, gather info about an ancestor that was. Ask the following questions about each move:

It should relatively easy to collect info for 8-10 contemporary moves. Try to get some that reflect the period 60-120 years ago. We'll discuss this info during the next two classes.
